What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, we do not run a newsletter, and there are no comment forms or sign-up boxes anywhere on this site. There is nothing here for you to fill in, so we collect no names, no email addresses, and no payment details.
What we do collect is aggregate analytics about how the pages are used.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which guides people read and how they found them. It sets cookies in your browser and records information including:
- the pages you view and how long you spend on them;
- the site or search engine you arrived from;
- approximate location at country or region level, derived from your IP address — we do not receive your full IP address;
- device type, browser, and screen size.
The cookies Google Analytics sets here are _ga and a second cookie of the form _ga_ followed by our measurement identifier. They tell one visitor apart from another and expire on their own, typically after two years, or sooner if you clear them. We use this data in aggregate only. We do not use it to identify you, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertisers. This site runs no advertising cookies and no social-media tracking pixels.
Google processes this information as our service provider. Google’s own privacy notice is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Our hosting provider may also set strictly operational cookies and keep standard server logs, which can include IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. Those are not set by us and are not used for analytics.
Turning analytics off
You can:
- block or delete cookies in your browser settings — this site works perfectly well without them;
- install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on;
- switch on a “Do Not Track” or global privacy control signal in your browser. We honor it where our analytics provider supports it.
Links to other sites
Our guides link out to retailers, brands, and USA Pickleball. Once you follow a link you are on their site, and their privacy policy applies rather than ours. This site currently carries no affiliate links — see our affiliate disclosure.
Children
This site is written for adults buying sports equipment. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your choices about your information
Because we hold no account or contact details, there is normally nothing personal for us to look up. If you believe we hold information about you and you want to know what it is, have it corrected, or have it deleted, email the address above and we will deal with it. Depending on where you live — including California and other U.S. states with privacy statutes, and the United Kingdom and European Union — you may have specific rights of access, deletion, correction, and non-discrimination for exercising them.
