Paddlepicked is built to eventually earn money from affiliate links. Right now it earns nothing — and this page will always tell you the truth about where we stand.
Where we stand today
This site currently carries no affiliate links, and we are not yet enrolled in any affiliate program — including the Amazon Associates Program. Nothing on Paddlepicked earns us a commission at the time of writing. If you follow a link to a retailer or a brand today, we receive nothing for it.
That is a temporary state, not a principle. We are building the guides first and applying to programs once the site is established. When that changes, this page changes with it — before the first paid link goes live, not afterwards.
What will change, and what won’t
When we do join affiliate programs, some links on this site will earn us a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. At that point:
- every page carrying paid links will say so clearly, above the first link — not buried in the footer;
- paid links will be marked up as sponsored links, so search engines and assistive software can identify them;
- the program statements we are required to display, including Amazon’s, will appear here and in the footer.
What will not change is how we pick. Commission rates vary widely: a paddle brand’s own program can pay several times what a general marketplace pays for the same sale. Our rankings are not for sale, and they are not ordered by what pays us best. If the right answer for a segment is a cheaper paddle from a program that pays us nothing, that is what the page will say. Where we think a conflict of interest is worth naming, we name it on the page.
No paid placement, and no products in exchange for coverage
We are research-led: our guides are built from manufacturer-verified specifications, USA Pickleball approval status, and the patterns in owner reviews, as set out in how we choose. We do not accept payment for a ranking, an award chip, or a mention, and we do not publish sponsored posts. We also do not test products, so a sample sent to us earns nothing and changes nothing.
